Aurifil Mako 50 Cotton / 200m - Red Wine - 2260

This super fine 50wt thread is perfect for both hand and machine piecing, and will more or less disappear in front of your eyes! Amazing for hand appliqué as well as English paper-piecing (EPP).

It is also ideal for quilting when you don't want your stitches to be visible, such as stitch-in-the-ditch. Alternatively, if you're doing some gorgeous free motion quilting such as feathers with plenty of back tracking, this fine thread will add beautiful texture to your quilt without distracting from the fabrics.

Aurifil Mako 50 is a 2-ply thread made from the finest Eygptian long staple cotton which is mercerised to give it a beautiful sheen. It behaves very well in the sewing machine, and can also be used as a bobbin thread. We recommend you use a Sharp/Microtex or Quilting needle 80/12.
