Star Bunting Pattern - Includes pre-cut papers

English paper-piecing has experienced a recent revival as more and more people have become aware of the joy and benefits of slow stitching.  

In these easy-to-follow instructions, I show you how to glue-baste your shapes using the paper templates included, before sewing them together using a 'flat back stitch'. I then explain how to sew them together with a wadding filling, and then attach them to a length of ribbon, finishing off with a button detail.

Skill level: Skilled beginner

Finished size: Approx. 2m long

You will need;

• Six long or fat quarters in co-ordinating fabrics 
• 85 pre-cut paper templates, included with this pattern
• 2m 16mm grosgrain ribbon
• Fourteen 14mm buttons
• Temporary fabric glue pen - which you can add above
• Thread for piecing - I recommend a 50wt cotton
• Gentle fabric starch - which you can purchase here
• Wadding scraps (approx. 50cm square)
