Aurifil Mako 80 Cotton / 300m - Chalk - 2026

This incredible 80wt thread is the finest Aurifil produces and is perfect for hand or machine appliqué - it is so fine it more or less disappears into the fabric. This thread is also great used in the bobbin for machine quilting, and can be used as top and bottom thread for machine piecing as well as hand piecing - personally I would strengthen it with wax if using it for EPP, particularly my curved EPP.

Aurifil Mako 80 is a 2-ply thread made from the finest Eygptian long staple cotton which is mercerised to give it a beautiful sheen.
