Quick & Easy Quilt Kit in Pool Party - Beginner's Quilt Kit, Easy Quilt

This easy pre-cut quilt kit is perfect for those wanting to make their first patchwork quilt - not only are all the fabrics chosen for you, but the squares are cut too, so you can just get stuck in and start sewing. This kit also makes a great quick quilt project for those needing a last minute gift.

This quilt is made up of six prints from Makower's Pool party collection, together with a Spectrum Solid in Optical White for the borders and a Pistachio Green for the binding.

With easy-to-follow instructions and links to my free online tutorials, you will learn how to sew your squares together, then how to match up those points when sewing the rows to each other, attach the borders, how to stitch-in-the-ditch or echo-quilt and finally how to attach your binding.

This quilt finishes at approx. 42" square and would make a lovely lap quilt. This is also a manageable size for quilting your first top.

You will also need:
- Basic sewing kit, including pins, scissors, a needle, and curved safety pins for basting, plus thread for quilting.
- 45" square of wadding & backing - you can add these to your order above.

A note about backing:- as most fabrics are not quite wide enough for this, I suggest you purchase 1.15m of backing fabric, cut it down the length and insert a 5" wide panel (made up of two 5" x 43" strips sewn into one long length) to increase the width. If you would like the backing pictured above with the Spectrum Solid Magenta and Pool Party print accent panel, you can add that option above, you can also add a 45" piece of wadding to your order.
