Double Clamshell Flower Panel Pattern & Papers

This gorgeous panel is made using the hand-sewing technique of curved English paper-piecing featuring glue basting and the flat back stitch to make up these two clamshell flower rings, which are then appliquéd onto a background and then quilted. You can then choose to make it up into a cushion, a wall hanging or even mount it into a picture frame.

This pattern includes a full set of pre-cut paper templates and easy-to-follow instructions.

You will also need;

• Eight 5" x 5.25" fabric strips in co-ordinating fabrics
• One 3.75" x 22" fabric strip in a contrasting blender
• 20" square of background fabric
• A temporary glue pen - see above on adding this to your order
• Thread for piecing - I recommend a 50wt cotton, which you can purchase here
• Embroidery thread for quilting
• Gentle fabric starch - which you can purchase here
• 20" square of wadding and of butter muslin - see above for adding this to your order
• For the backing; a 50cm x 110cm for cushion back and 20" cushion pad; or a fat quarter if making a wall hanging; or a picture frame with a 18" aperture - you don't need a backing for this.
