John James Embroidery Needles - size 7

Customers often ask me which needle I use for English paper-piecing, and I always recommend John James' Sharps. This British firm has been manufacturing strong and reliable needles for over 100 years and are renowned around the world for their quality.

Embroidery Needles are similar to a Sharps Needle with a fine diameter and shorter length, but have a longer eye which makes threading multiple strands of embroidery thread a lot easier. I find a size 7 perfect for big-stitch hand quilting in many of my projects.
