Freezer paper

This product is sold in 50cm units - if you add more than 1 to the quantity above, the paper will be cut in one continuous length.

Freezer paper is an amazing product which can be used in many quilting and appliqué projects. One side is paper which you can draw on, the other side is shiny, which when pressed with a hot dry iron will temporarily adhere to fabric. You can then cut, stitch or draw around the template onto your fabric, then when done simply peel off the paper leaving no residue. What's more, you can reuse the paper up to 4-5 times.

I have used freezer paper as a cutting template in my Wonky Squares Wall Hanging. In the past I have also used it as a quilting template, so instead of drawing a shape onto my quilt top, I have drawn and cut out the shape from freezer paper, pressed it onto my work and stitched around it, then simply peeled it off. You can also use it for needle-turn appliqué, and even stencilling.

Warning - just be extra careful not to iron the shiny side by mistake, this will wreck your iron.
